Hannah’s story

“Before coaching, I wasn’t achieving my goals or happy with how I looked/felt. I kept telling myself I would get through it and that I knew how to eat healthy/work out from being an athlete in university but that involved inconsistency and not entirely healthy habits. ⁣I didn’t really want to accept that I needed to change my habits because I felt like I had always been healthy, but my version of fit involved a lot of shortcuts. ⁣

⁣“3 months later I feel like I’ve completely changed my lifestyle. At the beginning, it was tough to get into a good routine during lockdown and stick to eating healthy and doing tough workouts, but it eventually just became a part of my everyday life that I enjoyed. As I got fitter, the workouts became better and made me feel stronger and it was like the healthy lifestyle that I was used to from sports but in a modified way that was adapted to my post-sports life and needs. ⁣

“I started to enjoy eating wholesome fueling foods because it made my workout better, and then meant that I could indulge in treats at the same time. It even got to a point where Alia had to TELL ME to have a treat meal because I had been eating so good ⁣

“Alia was also the MOST supportive she could possibly be, my little personal hype woman with so many tips and tricks to help me when I needed it. I always felt so comfortable to tell her about my successes and failures, and she would have the right thing to say and a way forward regardless of what it was. ⁣

“I’ve adapted to the lifestyle changes that I learned during my time working with Alia and shifted them as my goals have changed. I am maintaining the healthy practices that Alia has taught me like getting my steps in, eating healthier foods as well as how I can still live a HAPPY lifestyle by going out with friends, eating treats, and skipping the odd workout by listening to my body but still having enough consistency to feel good about myself. I’m at the point now where I can feel confident and comfortable in how I look, but also in both my mental and physical strength.”
